This Privacy Policy describes how Platform Foundry LLC
(“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal
information through StatusAngel, including
statusangel.com and related pages, accounts, subscriptions,
Status Files, customer update reports, scheduled customer update report
delivery, recipient communications, evidence/media uploads, payment flows,
support communications, and related digital services (collectively, the
“Platform”).
StatusAngel is a customer update and status reporting platform designed to
help businesses create structured Status Files and send professional update
reports to their own customers, clients, recipients, or stakeholders.
This Privacy Policy is primarily intended for users and customers in the
United States, but it also describes our general privacy practices for users
who access the Platform from other locations.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect through the
Platform, through communications with you, and through related account,
subscription, report, recipient, payment, support, onboarding, trial request,
and business interactions concerning the Platform.
This Privacy Policy does not replace any separate privacy notice, data
processing terms, customer agreement, or written terms that may apply to a
private/custom deployment or separately agreed business arrangement.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Contact Information: such as name, company name, email address, phone number, website, support contact details, billing contact details, and other information submitted through forms, accounts, trial requests, subscriptions, payment flows, or communications.
- Account Information: such as login details, user profile information, account preferences, verification details, role or permission information, tenant/company association, and related account records.
- Company and Tenant Information: such as company name, legal name, company domain, website, billing email, support email, timezone, plan status, entitlement settings, tenant users, tenant preferences, and related administrative records.
- Status File and Report Information: such as Status File names, descriptions, statuses, forecast dates, milestones, progress notes, risks, issues, next steps, dependencies, generated reports, report metadata, PDF snapshots, send history, and related customer update records.
- Recipient, Customer, Client, or Stakeholder Information: such as recipient names, email addresses, job titles, organisation names, recipient status, communication preferences, delivery history, feedback, comments, acknowledgements, and related report-recipient records.
- Uploaded Content and Evidence: such as images, files, screenshots, documents, captions, descriptions, filenames, file types, file sizes, metadata, and other evidence or media uploaded to support a Status File or report.
- Commercial and Transaction Information: such as subscription selections, plan requests, trial requests, billing-related records, payment status, subscription references, checkout records, plan status, and service configuration details.
- Communications and Support Information: such as support requests, sales inquiries, trial access requests, feedback, replies, administrative notes, and related communication records.
- Technical and Usage Information: such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring pages, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, session information, security logs, and general interaction data collected automatically when you use the Platform.
- Consent, Legal, and Audit Information: such as records of Terms of Service and Privacy Policy acceptance, verification events, access logs, send logs, report generation logs, report sending logs, feedback logs, payment event logs, and related technical metadata.
- Payment Information: if you purchase subscriptions or other paid services, payment-related information may be collected and processed by third-party payment providers. We generally do not store full payment card details on our own systems.
3. Customer Responsibility for Recipient and Report Data
Customers using the Platform are responsible for ensuring they have any
required rights, permissions, notices, consents, contracts, or lawful basis
to upload, store, process, and send recipient, customer, client, stakeholder,
project, report, evidence, or contact information through the Platform.
If you use the Platform to send reports or communications to your own
customers, clients, recipients, or stakeholders, you are responsible for
ensuring those communications are appropriate, lawful, accurate, and
consistent with your own privacy, contractual, customer, industry, and
compliance obligations.
You should not enter personal information, confidential information,
sensitive information, recipient details, report content, evidence, or
business information into the Platform unless you have the authority and
lawful basis to do so.
4. How We Collect Information
We collect information in several ways, including:
- directly from you when you create an account, complete forms, request trial access, contact us, purchase a subscription, configure a tenant account, create Status Files, upload content, add recipients, generate reports, or otherwise use the Platform;
- automatically through cookies, analytics tools, server logs, security logs, and similar technologies;
- from payment processors, service providers, integrations, email or communications providers, and other operational partners who help us operate the Platform and related services;
- from tenant administrators or other authorised users who invite you, add your details, assign roles, or configure your account access.
5. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Platform;
- create and manage user accounts, tenant accounts, roles, permissions, and authentication flows;
- verify email addresses, support password reset, support access security, and manage account-related controls;
- create, store, process, and display Status Files, report content, media/evidence, recipients, send history, and related customer update records;
- generate, send, schedule, store, and audit customer update reports and PDF report snapshots;
- process subscriptions, plan requests, trial requests, billing, renewals, cancellations, payment confirmations, and related commercial relationships;
- route, store, and manage service-related communications, support requests, feedback, recipient feedback, and platform notices;
- communicate with you regarding account matters, onboarding, subscriptions, billing, service-related notices, renewals, changes, and important updates;
- monitor Platform performance, usage trends, fraud risk, misuse, security, email deliverability, and operational reliability;
- detect, prevent, investigate, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, unlawful activity, terms violations, or technical issues;
- maintain records of Terms acceptance, Privacy Policy acceptance, report generation, report sending, payment events, access events, and other compliance-related events;
- send marketing or promotional communications where permitted by law and subject to your opt-out rights;
- comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, contractual obligations, and lawful requests.
6. Customer Update Reports and Recipient Communications
The Platform may process recipient, customer, client, or stakeholder details
so tenant customers can send manual or scheduled customer update reports.
These communications may include report summaries, PDF attachments,
report-related metadata, access links, feedback links, and related service
information.
We process this information to provide the Platform to our customers and to
support report generation, delivery, audit history, feedback handling,
suppression controls, security, and support.
We do not control the content that customers choose to enter into Status
Files or reports. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their own
report content and recipient communications are appropriate and lawful.
7. Public Visibility
StatusAngel is primarily an authenticated business software platform. Status
Files, reports, recipients, feedback, and tenant data are not intended to be
public by default.
Certain pages may be public, such as marketing pages, Terms of Service,
Privacy Policy, signup pages, payment return pages, or secure token-based
recipient access pages where enabled. If public or token-access features are
enabled, you should only submit information that is suitable for the relevant
feature and access mode.
8. Cookies and Analytics
We may use cookies, pixels, log files, analytics tools, and similar
technologies to understand how visitors use the Platform, improve
performance, remember preferences, support security functions, and measure
the effectiveness of content or campaigns.
We may use third-party analytics providers to help us understand visitor and
platform activity. These providers may collect information such as IP
address, browser type, device identifiers, and usage behavior, subject to
their own privacy practices.
Most browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. Disabling
certain cookies may affect how the Platform functions.
9. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: to cloud hosting providers, payment processors, communications providers, email-routing services, analytics providers, security providers, support providers, and other vendors that perform services on our behalf.
- Platform Operations: within our organisation as needed to operate, support, secure, audit, administer, and improve the Platform.
- Tenant Users and Administrators: to authorised users within the same tenant/customer account according to roles, permissions, page access, reports, audit logs, and configuration settings.
- Recipients: where a customer uses the Platform to send update reports, PDF attachments, secure access links, feedback links, or related communications to recipients, customers, clients, or stakeholders.
- Payment and Commercial Processing: to payment processors and related service providers as needed to process payments, subscriptions, checkout sessions, billing events, refunds, disputes, fraud controls, and related commercial records.
- Legal and Compliance: where required by law, subpoena, court order, regulatory request, legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, systems, recipients, customers, providers, or the public.
- Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, reorganisation, bankruptcy, restructuring, or similar transaction.
- With Your Direction: where you ask us to share information or clearly consent to a disclosure.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the
purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Platform,
maintain account and business records, manage subscriptions and commercial
relationships, store report and send history, resolve disputes, enforce
agreements, maintain audit logs, support security, and comply with legal,
tax, accounting, reporting, or operational obligations.
Some records, such as generated reports, send history, payment records,
legal acceptance logs, audit logs, security logs, and support records may be
retained for longer periods where reasonably necessary for business,
security, legal, contractual, operational, or evidentiary purposes.
11. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards
designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss,
misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no method of transmission over the internet, electronic storage,
hosting environment, software system, email system, payment process, or
digital platform is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute
security, uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, or protection
against every possible threat, vulnerability, misconfiguration, or harmful
component.
You are responsible for using the Platform responsibly, protecting your
credentials, managing your users and permissions, reviewing content before
sending reports, ensuring recipient details are correct, and maintaining
your own records where required.
12. Marketing Communications and Service Notices
We may send promotional or marketing communications where permitted by law.
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe
link in the message or by contacting us directly.
We may still send non-promotional communications where necessary, such as
account notices, verification messages, security notices, subscription
confirmations, billing notices, payment notices, report delivery notices,
support responses, policy updates, and important service-related messages.
13. Your Privacy Choices and U.S. State Privacy Rights
You may choose not to provide certain personal information, but doing so may
limit your ability to use certain features of the Platform or receive
certain services.
Depending on the state in which you reside and the laws that apply to our
business, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
These may include the right to request access to, correction of, deletion
of, or a copy of your personal information, and in some cases the right to
opt out of certain data uses.

If your information was entered into the Platform by one of our customers,
we may direct you to that customer or coordinate with that customer as
appropriate, because they may be responsible for the underlying relationship
and report content.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional privacy rights
under California law, depending on whether those laws apply to our business
and data practices.
Do Not Track: Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”)
setting. At this time, the Platform does not respond to browser-based DNT
signals in a standardized way. However, you can often manage cookies and
tracking through your browser settings and other privacy controls.
Third-party analytics or service providers may collect information about
your online activities over time and across different websites or online
services, subject to their own privacy notices and settings.
15. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under the age of
13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal
information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where
appropriate.

rely on third-party services to support payments, hosting, analytics,

The Platform is operated primarily for business use connected with the
United States, but users may access the Platform from other locations. If you
access the Platform from outside the United States, you understand that
information may be processed in the United States or other locations where
we or our service providers operate.

use of the Platform, we may provide additional terms, notices, contractual
arrangements, or deployment-specific controls where appropriate.

update the Effective Date shown above. Your continued use of the Platform
